If you would like to commission me to write a new piece for you, pleasecontact me with your idea (no matter how small or well-formed it is [or isn't!]) and we can take it from there. Consider what instrumentation you'd like, the length of the piece, and your desired timeline.
For pricing, I begin with basing my rates on the recommendations of the Canadian League of Composers, and from there we can negotiate. At this time I do my own copying, and I prefer to charge hourly clerical fees ($25/hour) as I feel this is more fair to both parties. Please also feel welcome to tell me your budget for commissioning. Negotiating is hard to do without all the necessary information.
What if I can't quite afford it? Contact me nonetheless! What is the use of a creative mind if I can't use it to come up with creative solutions? Creating art and working together is work worth doing.
I am booked for the majority of 2022, but am otherwise booking into 2023!
