At this time, I will not be accepting new commissions so that I can focus on my health
If you would like to commission me to write a new piece for you or to arrange something for you, please contact me with your idea (no matter how small or well-formed it is [or isn't!]). Consider what instrumentation you'd like, the length of the piece, and your desired timeline for delivery of music.
For pricing, I begin with basing my rates on the recommendations of the Canadian League of Composers, and from there we can negotiate. At this time I do my own copying, and I prefer to charge hourly clerical fees ($25/hour) as I feel this is more fair to both parties. Please also feel welcome to tell me your budget for commissioning. Negotiating is hard to do without all the necessary information.
What if I can't quite afford it?
Contact me nonetheless! What is the use of a creative mind if I can't use it to come up with creative solutions? Creating art and working together is work worth doing.
