Herstory 2.0

Week Five - Beautiful Blends

When planning for Herstory 2.0, I knew hands down that I wanted to discuss Tanya Tagaq and Reena Esmail - I simply love their music! At first I had no theme in mind; but as I got lost in their beautiful blends of music, I realized that their collaborations of their respective traditional music with Western Classical was precisely the connection I was looking for.
Composers we're looking at this week are:

Tanya Tagaq (L)
Reena Esmail (L)

L = Living Composer
