This work portrays my experience of coming out to myself, the impact on my former relationship, and the juxtoposition of the absolute joy and devestating heartbreak that I felt through this experience.
Presently it functions as a short stand-alone scene, and is still in development. Through the Fresh Squeezed Opera Vocal Lab, I have been collaborating with mezzo-soprano Stephanie Feigenbaum, and pianist Candace Chien. The digital premiere of this scene-in-progress was on September 30, 2022 in the second Fresh Squeezed Vocal Lab concert.
